Prema Carol Battle has been teaching Yoga for the last 13 years. She is certified as an Integral Yoga Teacher and is a member of the Integral Yoga Teachers Association, Central North Carolina Yoga Teacher Association and the Yoga Alliance. Integral Yoga is an easeful, peaceful style of Yoga that is easily adaptable to all people regardless of their physical abilities. A typical Integral Yoga class includes breath work (pranayama), sun salutations, standing poses, backbends, forward bends, inversions, twists, and deep relaxation. Her favorite class to teach is Yoga Basics with a lot of fun thrown in.
Jana Davis, 200 hour certified Vinyasa flow yoga instructor. She is certified through Evolve Movement and has been teaching yoga since January 2008. Yoga changed her life, bringing physical, mental and spiritual growth. She encourages her students to move "from the inside out" to deepen the awareness of body, breath and mind. Her goal is to create very special comfortable environment and make yoga accessible to all students, from beginners to advanced, designing a class that contributes to the awareness of each student's unique form of expression.
Carol Godfrey, Mh.D., RYT has been practicing yoga and Pilates for 15 years. She obtained her Pilates certification in 2000 and Integral Yoga certification from the Satchidananda Ashram in 2003. Her love and devotion to yoga sparked a flame that lead to continued studies in the field of Metaphysics which includes energy work, chakra balancing, color/sound healings and intuitive counseling. In November 2009, Carol completed her Mh.D. in Metaphysical Healing. The inner peace, tranquility, clarity and strength she has discovered through yoga and meditation while on this spiritual path has changed her life in so many ways that she continues to seek out new means to share it with others. Marty Gooch, RYT has been practicing yoga since 2000 after his initial training through the NC School of Yoga. His continuing studies of Anusara yoga have led to his status as an official Anusara-Inspired Yoga Teacher. He seeks to customize classes to the needs of the students.
Sheila Gooch has been practicing yoga since 2000, and is a graduate of the NC School of Yoga 240 hour Teacher Training program. She seeks to make her classes light hearted and fun. Let you inner child out to play at one of Sheila’s classes.
Mary Prince has been practicing Tai Chi, Embrace the Moon, for several years. Having received her training one on one in East Islip, New York, she shares the beauty of meditation in motion from the peaceful sands of Long Island to the serenity of North Carolina.
Joanne Tugwell, RYT began practicing yoga in 2000. In 2007, she decided to deepen her practice and completed her teacher certification with the Lighten Up Yoga teacher training program in 2008. She currently combines an Iyengar Inspired asana practice, with her strong background in Vinyasa Flow in a caring, lighthearted and joyful way which brings lightness to the body and freedom to the mind.
